Les aventures du roi Pausole (2008), an Opera Trionfo production.

 

Arthur Honneger, known as a serious composer of 'Le roi David' and 'Jeanne d'Arc', wrote in 1930, this fun, light-footed opera. 'Les aventures du roi Pausole' premiered in 1930 and experienced

on the occasion of Opera Trionfo anniversary his Dutch premiere. The opera follows the comical complications around the polygamous king Pausole and his 365 women

(one for each night of the year)
